A critic once wrote: "From the fabled paradise of the French Riviera to the sparkling shores of Nantucket Island, contemporary Impressionist Kerry Hallam captures the sun-dappled splendor of treasured places in his captivating panoramas." While other painters may achieve balance by the use of muted or even sombre palettes, Hallam's ability to reconcile the vibrant visual cacophony of truly sun-drenched subjects and bring them into harmony has not been seen since the work of Monet's last years. Hallam's paintings, particularly the landscapes, reflect such exuberance in the sensual delight of vision that they more likely hang in the homes of his many collectors rather than their corporate vaults.

The scope of this artist's oeuvre is vast. Not only are there the oils, the acrylics, the watercolors, the mixed-media, the serigraphs, and the captivating "sketch books", Kerry Hallam is also a writer, as well as a recording artist. As such, this website will include as many of his diverse works as possible to be representitive, while remaining within practical limitations. Since the inception of the project, Mr. Hallam has been most generous in sharing his archives and reference materials. Without his enthusiasm and support, this website would not have been possible. --Jack Hobson-Dupont
